The Prince of Wales and and the Duchess of Cornwall are in Rosyth on Friday, 8 September to officially name the second aircraft carrier.
HMS Prince of Wales will be named by the Duchess, as tradition means all ships are named by a female.
Preparations have been underway for the naming of the £3bn vessel at Rosyth Naval Dockyard.
The new warship is externally complete but it will be 2019 before it can begin sea trials.
Its sister ship, HMS Queen Elizabeth, arrived in its home base of Portsmouth last month after launching from Rosyth and spending time on sea trials in the Moray Firth.
