Appeal for missing ‘goatee beard’ man last seen in a Burntisland taxi

Police in Fife are appealing for the public’s help to identify a man who is missing in the Burntisland area.

The man was last seen around 2.50am heading to the Kirkgate after exiting a taxi in the High Street on Friday, 19th May.

He has not been seen since and officers are growing concerned for his welfare.

He is described as white, aged 45 to 50 years-old with a bald head and goatee beard and is believed to be wearing blue jeans and a dark top.

We are concerned that there are vulnerabilities around this man and are keen to trace him as soon as possible.

He may also reside in the Inverkeithing area.

Inspector Ian Poolman of Kirkcaldy Police Station said: “We are very concerned for this man’s welfare and it is important that we trace him as soon as possible.

“I would ask anyone who was in the High Street area of Burntisland this morning, and has seen a man matching this gentleman’s description, to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”

Anyone who recognises his description is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0339 of 19th May as soon as possible.
